Applied Microeconomics

Applied Microeconomics as found in the textbook, Economic Essentials for Business, Management, and Engineering, is designed for students in business, management or engineering, or some other field. The material in this text encompasses a broad spectrum of topics that cannot be taught in a single semester, and perhaps not even over two semesters. Once factor in determining one’s approach to the study of applied microeconomics as found here depends on one’s previous exposure to economics and mathematics. Here it is assumed that students have little preparation in economics or mathematics, but that they are sufficiently advanced to obtain the necessary knowledge through self study. An appendix and several videos are recommended that provide the needed mathematical background, regardless of which version of the course is taught.
